Those of you who know me (or those of you who have just seen some of my recent Facebook posts) can attest to my love of wine.  Is it a coincidence that my favorite color is red?  Do I really just need lots of wine corks for crafty projects I've seen on Pinterest?  (Don't answer that - it may be the subject of a whole other blog post.)  Is it just the trendy drink du jour of working professionals?  Or is it just a fun thing to photograph?  Regardless, wine is part of my life, lifestyle, and home decor :-) 

Growing up, my parents typically had a glass of wine with dinner.  As a French major in college, it kind of came with the "territoire," especially after studying abroad in Paris.  But before you start with your (insert French accent) "Huah ha huah ha," I'm far from a wine snob, nor can I hold a sophisticated conversation on viniculture.  I don't believe in spending more than $10 on a weeknight bottle of wine, and the Trader Joe's wine guy is one of my best friends.  I do know I like my wines dry (I'm sweet enough as it is....), my pinot's complex, my chardonnay's oaky,  and I may or may not judge of bottle of wine on it's label.

Here are some of my favorite things about wine:

1. Knowing that a glass of it is waiting for you after a crazy day at the office

2. It makes a great gift, and you never have to worry about it being the wrong size

3. It gives friends a reason to linger a bit longer at the table and share one more story
